It is time to head back to school around here. I cleared my calendar for this week so I could focus my time and attention solely on my kids. We had a great week full of fun. We also made treats for our new teachers and even a few for our teachers from last year. We loved them so much. I made an apple and an apple core cookie. I added some hersheys hugs. I tied it all together and added this tag... "A teacher can not live by apples alone, she needs HUGS too." It seemed like a nice way to welcome the new school year and introduce ourselves to the teacher. You know what they say about first impressions...

Beauty and the Beast - Chip cookies

A little boy who loves Beauty and the Beast was turning 3. This is what his mom and I came up. "Chip", the little boy who was turned into a teacup. I made number 3 cookies to go along with them.

Owl Cookies

I had a blast doing these owl cookies. I made Number 2 cookies to go with them but I forgot to get pictures of them. Colors matched the paper goods. *Credit for the original design concept goes to Sweetopia. I just loved them and had to do a set of my own.

I have accepted it...

I am the worst blogger EVER!! I know it, I have accepted it and all I can do is keep on trying. HA!!

So, June has been super busy around here. Cookies galore of course, but it also happens to be my birthday month, my daughters birthday month and we threw in a week long vacation too. If you know me, you know that I LOVE birthdays. I think it is the only day of the year that is all about you. I think that the people that love you should make it special for you and that definitely means a PARTY!!! I had one, just like I have one every year. We had food, cake, friends and it was great. My daughter had a party too and I went crazy trying to make it special for her. She decided that she wanted a pool party this year. She learned how to swim this summer and has been swimming, diving, and otherwise becoming a regular fish. The pool party made sense. So I had invites made up and that fell through. It was a blessing because I found the most amazing invites at Hobby Lobby and my daughter and I fell in love. They were perfect... little beach bags with a pull out invite that had flip flops and suntan lotions. Everyone loved them. She had 12 little friends come and celebrate with her. We had food, cake, a craft, etc. Like any good mom/party host, I was running around feeding everyone, chatting and making sure everyone had a good time so I have ZERO pics of all that stuff. It was cute though!! Matching serving pieces, bright fun colors, you know the drill. So here are a few pictures of the party, cookies and all the fun we have had this month (ie, the reason I have not blogged in forever)

The invites!!! Do you not just LOVE them?

The water bottle favors: They had their initial on the front and a cute adornment on the back. I loved how they turned out.

The cookie favors - Flip Flops.

The best part of any party... blowing out the candles.

Well, that was her party. She loved every minute of it and felt very special. That was the goal and I can not wait to start planning the next birthday party.

I will have more cookie pictures soon.

SugarCoated Cookies has been busy!

More Thomas cookies. I love making these cookies and my son goes crazy every time he sees them.

Cakes for a 1st birthday. These had to match the invite. It was nerve wracking but I got it done and I was happy with how they turned out. Thanks for the order, Stephanie and Nevin!

This is my new favorite number 1 cookie look. I love the ladybug. I also did tons of large ladybugs for this party. I did not have time to take a picture of them before I boxed them up.

Love how these lions turned out. Thanks for the order, Krista!

Aliens, baseballs and goldfish... oh my!

I love this little guy. Next time I think I will add some silver luster dust to his spaceship to make it sparkle and pop!

It is baseball season again. I made these for a baby shower but they can be done for birthday parties, end of the season, team parties, etc.

Fish Bowl I made for a "GOLDFISH" themed 2nd birthday. I thought this was a cute idea since we all know 2 year old practically live on goldfish... at least mine did.

Monogram cookies I made for a 40th birthday party

Happy cookie'ing!!!

I'm still here

I can not believe how long it has been since I last blogged. I am still baking away but I have just scaled it back and that included my blog and website. I have been working on new designs and I have enjoyed creating again. Here are some of my latest designs. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
